<p>In order to improve inventory visibility and lower out-of-stocks, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is expected to be used by 58% of warehouse decision-makers by 2028, according to Zebra Technologies.</p>
<p>Furthermore, in light of labor constraints, 84% of warehouse executives in India and APAC stress the usage of technology like robots to retain employees.</p>
<p>“In such high-demand periods, warehouse operators need to use best-in-class technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, agility, and real-time decision-making. Rajnish Gupta, vice president of Zebra Technologies’ India and Subcontinent, said, “This entails modernizing operations to manage returns effectively, improve inventory visibility, and enhance demand forecasting.”</p>
<p>Globally, 73% of warehouse decision-makers have accelerated or plan to accelerate modernization project deadlines; 69% of APAC decision-makers share this sentiment.</p>
<p>The research states that this should assist with returns handling, which almost half of the surveyed warehouse decision-makers (40 percent in APAC and 47 percent worldwide) named as their top operating concern.</p>
<p>Automation, according to almost half of warehouse decision-makers, increases worker productivity and efficiency by reducing cycle time, order mistakes, and manual picking.</p>
<p>Approximately 80% of warehouse associates worldwide (81%) and in Asia-Pacific (78%), on the other hand, think that increasing their usage of technology and automation enables them to reach or exceed productivity goals.</p>
