2023 National Billiards & Snooker: As he advances in Junior Boys’ Snooker, Duggal dazzles


<p>Ranveer Duggal, the recently crowned Junior boys’ National Billiards champion, took a step toward a “double” in the current 90th National Billiards & Snooker Championships on Sunday at the Nehru Indoor Stadium. <p>In his four-man group stage, Chandigarh’s Duggal, runners-up the previous year, defeated Rajasthan’s Samundra Singh 3-0 (62-9, 68-5, 82-1) and Himachal Pradesh’s Ishant Kumar by an identical 3-0 score (67-41, 75-4, 70-40). He is now one step away from securing a Last 32 position.</p>
<p>Tathya Sachdev (MP) advanced to face Duggal for first place in the group after victories against Samundra Singh (3-0) and Ishant Kumar (3-1). In other group matches, Irham Parvez (J&K) defeated Naveen Soloman (AP) 3-0, while Tushar Tilara (UP) defeated Vishesh Singhal (Odi) 3-0.</p>
